Da Costakade 134 was nominated to be demolished to make way for new construction. De Berg believes in long-term value creation, even if this does not seem to be compatible with the calculation model at first.

After making this beautiful object safe in its shell and restoring it to its former glory, a complete new outfitting was realized for two sitting tenants, while replacement accommodation was offered elsewhere in the street.

The elderly lady from 1 high practically lived here all her life, and the necessity to move due to the danger of collapse brought her grief. Particularly honorable that De Berg was allowed to contribute to the continuation of her stay in this fantastic place.
